As has been widely publicized new restrictions will come into force on Dec 17th which will impact on our club meetings. The new restrictions will be in force before the Monday General Meeting next week These new restrictions will limit access to a variety of public venues including sporting facilities, bars, clubs and council libraries etc (where close contact may transmit the infection) for anyone who is not fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
There is some doubt as to whether the restrictions apply to our situation at the clubrooms, and we are seeking clarification, but we believe that they do. Until such time as this is clarified the entire executive has concluded that the restrictions MUST be applied to all club meetings at this time.
Consequently we ask all members to comply :-
+ If you have not completed a full course of Covid-19 vaccinations or do not have a valid medical exception certificate we ask that you do not attend meetings at the clubrooms at this time.
+ It will still be possible for everyone to participate in the General Meetings via ZOOM.
Members may also be aware that club has already been the subject of a formal complaint for Covid violations. We do not know the source or basis of that complaint, even whether this is internal or external, but we are already under investigation. Normal common-sense hygiene principles are more important than even as our borders are opening. Please do not attend in person, even if you are fully vaccinated, if you have any symptoms that could indicate Covid. Please use the hand sanitiser and continue with good practices as we have all been doing
